**There is no supervision available before 8:45 AM. Please do not drop off students earlier. Students arriving after Assembly (9:15 AM) will be marked late
SAFE ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURE PROGRAM
The safety of our students is a priority. Parents are kindly asked to park in the designated parking lot and walk their child to the entrance of Maple High School. Please ensure you do not block neighbouring driveways and fire exits at any time
ABSENCE POLICY
In the event of a student’s absence or late arrival, parents are required to notify the school by emailing admin.york@nasiracademy.ca prior to the start of the school day. Students with more than three unexcused absences during the academic year may lose their spot. Since we have a waiting list, priority will be given to other students so they can benefit from the program
HOMEWORK
Parents are responsible for ensuring that their children complete and submit assigned homework on time
ALLERGIES/MEDICAL CONDITIONS
The school follows a strict allergy protocol. Please note that if your child requires an EpiPen, they must always carry it with them
BAKE SALE
Nasir Academy York will occasionally hold bake sales during the school year. Please note that food items may contain allergens. If your child has any food allergies or dietary restrictions, kindly ensure they are provided with appropriate food from home on the day of bake sale
HEALTH AND CLEANINESS
Nasir Academy York is committed to maintaining a clean and healthy learning environment. If your child is feeling unwell, kindly keep them at home. This helps protect the well-being of all students. Please make sure that your child comes to school in clean clothes, with good personal hygiene, and a neat appearance
DRESS CODE
Students are expected to wear modest and comfortable clothing that reflects respect for themselves and others. Girls are required to wear a headscarf, and boys are expected to wear a cap
FIELD TRIPS
Nasir Academy York will organize field trips for all students during the academic year. Parents are responsible for covering the cost of their child’s participation. Lunch and school transportation will be provided
TECHNOLOGY USE
To minimize distractions and enhance the learning experience, cell phones and other personal electronic devices are not permitted during class time
USE OF STUDENT PHOTOGRAPHS
Photos may be taken during field trips, bake sales, or regular school days and used for educational or school related purposes, such as on Nasir Academy’s website, at the graduation ceremony, or during the year-end presentation. If you prefer your child’s photo not to be used, please notify the school administration
EXCURSIONS/COMMUNITY WALKABOUTS
Teachers may take classes on walks around the community to complement classroom learning. Additionally, outdoor activities will be held when weather permits. For field trips requiring school buses, parents will be informed in advance
SPECIAL NEEDS
At this time, we do not have the resources to accommodate students requiring special needs. However, if a parent or guardian wishes to enroll a child with special needs, we kindly ask that they remain with the child during school hours to ensure they receive the necessary support and attention

CODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT
At Nasir Academy York, students are expected to demonstrate respectful behavior, punctual attendance, commitment to learning, and compliance with dress code. Students should act responsibly at all times. Core values such as honesty, safety, and maintaining a clean environment are crucial to fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere
POLICY OF VAPING AND E-CIGARETTES
- Vaping, e-cigarettes, nicotine products, and cannabis are strictly not allowed on school property or within 20 meters
- Violating this law may result in suspension of the school’s permit
**All visitors must report to the administration staff upon arrival. The administrative staff is usually located at the main entrance of Maple High School, or in the cafeteria, depending on staff availability**
